Good day to those who have taken the time to check back on my blog. It has been almost a year since I graduated at Arizona State University. I've achieved a Bachelor's of Arts Degree majoring in Design Management. A break down on what that might entail. It is in the field of Design whether it be Industrial, Interior, Architectural and Graphic Design. Which I have a background in graphic Design. Currently I am working on developing a professional portfolio for my Master's Degree Application. I have a goal to return back to ASU to begin a Master's in Visual Communication. Basically to continue to enrich and improve my Graphic Design and to have a more profitable lifestyle. If any of you have been connected to my page via UBER I welcome you review my profile and if interested in connecting all according information was provided on my business card and also listed in my contact tab. Looking forward to hearing from you and thank you for stopping by my blog.

My life... Let’s see. Number one thing will be that I will have achieved a master’s degree. Also that I am working in my desired field. It will be a time where I will be building my own career alongside working for design firms. The career I start will incorporate Designers of all backgrounds to design video games such as automotive, First person shooter, or Adventure. Not only that but it will have its own department for each field. Fine Art, Graphic Design, Photography...etc. The way this company will differ is it will embrace diversity in all walks of life. The employees will make good pay but they will have the opportunity to shares of the company. Besides the business I will establish some roots and purchase a home to make my foundation. To gist this time in my life, I will be on my way to a successful career.

The person I chose was Alexis Hererra. She and I have two classes together. So I felt this could serve for the both of us, I was the one asking questions and she was the one who responded.
What would you consider yourself? A Designer or an Artist?
  • I would consider myself a designer and my area of focus is architecture. I would also consider myself an artist by hobby.
As a Designer/Artist How much experience would you say you have? Years length preferably.
  • My experience working in design began when I started at Arizona State University in the Fall of 2015. I had prior instances of being able to shadow someone whose profession is architecture and construction, so I had an idea of how things worked before starting school. But I never had hands on experience where I could learn software and techniques that I could use when pursuing my desired career.
If you could have the chance to make a public art installation what would it be?
  • If I had the opportunity, I think I would do a public art installation if it included adding in some type of architecture component. I feel that architecture is its own public art installation.
Do you plan on working for a Design company or making art for a gallery?
  • My plan is to work in a design company, preferably starting out as a drafter. I have always been fascinated in the process of designing and blueprinting different architectures, so I would like to be a part of that process.
  • None that can come to mind at the moment
Do you have any questions or comments I did not mention?
  • None that can come to mind at the moment
Alexis and I have been good friends throughout the semester and It felt good to speak about design. That is what she and I share in common. She is into architecture and I am into Graphic Design.

Wake the Dreamer  2015 Lauren lee

This project was Tempe Public Art's first commissioned mural. Lauren Lee was the talented artist that completed this project. I absolutely love this mural. I ride my bike by this mural every morning. I remember when it was in the making. It was a honor to see the process happen over a period of time. At first it was hard to make out what it was going to be. But as the body of the women came to. It really bring balance to the piece. There is a color harmony with the colors chosen. I know what it's like mixing paints to achieve a certain hue. So I believe the artist really knew what she was doing. There is nothing I can say to criticize this mural. It's beautiful and represents a massive energy. There are about 100 flowers. It's just so incredible and I suggest anyone go and take a look. It is located right off hardy drive and 5th Street next to jaycee park. Feel free to comment your experience.

Sofia Maria Paz
I met her at the beginning of my Fall 16 semester. She is actually my instructor for my ART113 class. She is a great artist and is studying here at ASU to obtain a masters degree. I enjoy her company and the work she makes is incredible. I believe she will influence my love for graphic design because her vision she brings to the class is contagious. I have made some very interesting and new projects in this class. Therefore I know she will influence me throughout the semester and even into the future if we begin to network. I have attached one of her pieces below.

SERIGRAPHY

Hand-applied stencil techniques, unconventional compositions, and color are implemented to create dynamic and engaging screen prints. The work aims to explore my interest in relationships between mass-production techniques and personal line-work, exemplary of the dual-nature of printmaking, which is both mechanical and inherently individual.

Color Composition 36x48 in - Bedonie Whitetail Adobe Illustrator

I am reposting this project because this has been my most favorite art piece. I believe it really makes me stand out as an artist/designer. I had really took my self to another place and tried something new. This piece had made me open up to more possibilities. I have done many pieces in my artist life but I had given most of them away, lost some and even donated some. Besides that fact this is the best work I have produced I plan on continuing to make more of these in a series.

Piet Mondrian
I chose Piet Mondrian because I had recently used one of his paintings to design a project I had recently done. I took the color composition and vectored it on Adobe Illustrator to make a file where I incorporated the colored images int the document.

Color Composition 36x48 in - Bedonie Whitetail Adobe Illustrator

In this original Painting there was yellow white and blue shapes. What I had done is fill those respected colors with images of colored cars based on that color. The composition has a total of 4 cars in the whole image disguised into the red white and blue shapes. The yellow shapes were not touched. It gave it a ground so there would be no confusion on finding a yellow car in the image,

I had chose Piet Modrian's Painting because I wanted bring alive his work once again but with a digital new age aspect. His use of color to balance the painting was incredible considering the time he lived in. Now this Color composition can be used once again.

Art Installation - Air Apparent by James Turrell

To begin, this art installation I had seen with my fellow classmates for my ART113 - Color class. It was quite an experience being that this was locate on Arizona State University's campus.  James Turrell was the artist for this "Skyspace" installation.

As you see this piece is a physical experience. As you walk in it has a little bit of descent into the piece. In the inside there is an opening up top. The opening gives a window to the light of the sky above. In the inside there is also Granite seating constructed within the structure. So the is an area to than look up into the square above to experience different lighting experiences.

Picture
In the evening the light changes color. Anyone can go here day or night so when there is natural lighting the lights do not come on. I admire the piece because it is a peaceful environment. It can seem unpleasing because the walls are made of a metal that has many little holes. The design gives the ability to have air and sound flow through it. To me it gives it a very grounded experience yet has a very special out of this world kind of experience.

There is nothing that I can say that needs any improvement. The only thing that I can say that was unpleasant was the construction going on right next to the installation that it made it difficult to experience the atmosphere to its fullest potential.

I wanted to stop on by and show my final result for my 2nd project in my Color 113 class. I chose this as my artful experience because it had really challenged my creative side. I am proud of how it turned out check it out.

- In the critique, The class had to first figure out the piece based on what I included in the composition. So I will leave this out there like I did in the class and we'll see what some of you come up with.
